Salty Lifer!!!!

This bad boy has been at the top of my fish-wish-list for a good few years. Really gotta put your time in and have an idea of what you're doing to get one on a lure from shore over here. We'd put in a few halfhearted attempts in recent years, but never really got the feeling that it could happen. But, inspired by a neat video, we set out with added vigor in recent weeks. Many casts and no sign of anything on the first two attempts, but today it happened.

At the second spot we stopped at, I put in a few casts to a delectable looking little corner. KA-THUMP!!! What a strong, rad, beautiful, baddass fish. The photo doesn't do it justice, as far as how beautiful it was. I was shaking the whole while, until I could slide it over the net. And shaking for a good while after I released it.

I can't believe I actually got one.

Problem is, now I want more...
