Goldfish WILD OLIVACEOUS COLORATION

Goldfish are found worldwide, having been introduced either intentionally or unintentionally as ornamental display fishes. Over several generations, wild goldfish lose their bright ornamental colors and revert to a dark metallic bronze coloration.  Goldfish have no barbels, a trait that helps distinguish them from koi.  They can reach several pounds in weight, and can be caught on a variety of small lures and baits.
