Week 6: Untested Waters Challenge

Try something new! Catch five species of fish from bodies of water/fishing spots within 3 miles of your home which you have never fished before. A body of water includes a stream access point you've never fished at (at least 300 yards from any already-fished access point), or a lake or pond you've never fished before, or for very large lakes (over 1000 acres) an access point you've never fished at before. If you have no untested waters in this range, you can try the next fishable body of water (5 points for the first species, 1 point each for the remaining 3, 2 points for the last one so 5/6/7/8/10). We encourage you to walk or bike to these waters for your fishing sessions, if possible! Photo and description of water body plus all species of fish must be included. MICRO SPECIES DO COUNT for this challenge! Yes, that means you can pull a stickleback and a mudminnow from a roadside ditch if you want to. Obviously the micros must be identifiable from the photo so use this power with discretion - if the fish isn't obviously identifiable form the photo, it won't count.
