Wanted!
After the last couple outings I've come to relize its time for more reels. The question is... anyone have any lines on where I can find a variety of abu bait casters? Of the left kind of course. Have only been able to find a few lately but would like to find more. Oh and preferred made in Sweden. Thanks

New or used? and what size

New or used? and what size are you looking for?

Last thing I heard is all the 7000+ are being made in China but you can stil get the 6500's that are made in Sweden

Any big game series or 7000's
Any big game series or 7000's and up. Hope that's not the case. One I have just stripped out for some reason and this is only the second season.

I will never buy another abu

I will never buy another abu baitcaster again.  I have had about 8 of them through the years (6500s and 7000s) and they all have been in for repairs.  They just don't last very long for me.

I would suggest a Shimano or other brand.  Shimano has a different drag system and may cost a little more but I would rather pay the extra.

Abu reels

I have a 5500c and a6500 catfish pro rocket both Swedish and both have been good to me. I bought the pro rocket from catfish connection. If you look on their site and look at their Abu reels, they list where all of the abus come from , Sweden or china. They have competitive pricing and are good to deal with. They are in Pana Illinois. I like my ok okuma and shimano spinning reels (baitrunners)but can't comment on the shimano baitcasters

Hope this helps

I've never had much for
I've never had much for problems with my abu's. Always worked very well and took the abuse. I think between mn river sand and trying to teach someone how to use the clicker and give the stick to some flats the one new one just gave out. Pissed me off I'll tell ya what. May be time to check new brands out. Riffles- those e-cats and rockets I dont think come left handed. I've been scoping the connection out and just hadnt found the variety in the leftys they once had. May just pick up whatever I can find on there with the next order and hope for the best. Just need to find someone to service a couple I have. I have gotten a kick outa going to gander or cabelas and being told they dont make left handed reels any longer! To think I must be the only one... ha ha
