Notes:
My limit of brookies (12"-14", 1.5-2.5lbs each) from a small lake on Crown Land in eastern Alberta that was stocked with brook trout about a century ago and then forgotten. It is not listed on maps and no road goes to it, and the trout have been reproducing in its high-volume upwelling springs, and you literally cannot cast into it without bringing back a trout.

Brook trout
That's a really nice bunch of brookies and it sounds like they came from a cool spot, too. There are few things that I like more than finding a place like that.

Sounds like a gem of a spot.
