Was fishing at Carlyle Dam today and the first fish I caught when I got there was a spoonbill! And it was fair hooked as well! It weighed in at about 14 pounds. I caught it on a green grub like I usually use there. And spoonbill definitely fight hard. I was impressed by their strength!

Great catch!
Congrats
Nice!
Did it put up a pretty good fight? Catch much else?
Oh yes! Paddlefish fight really good! Definitely one of the better fighting fish. And yeah I caught a lot more other fish. I caught a 20 pound bighead carp as well and many buffalo. Tons and tons of bigheads were there that day and I think it's because the water is pretty high up and there is a good amount of current throughout there.

congrats! That's crazy!
Fantastic fish! Man, they're so cool. And I can totally see it happening at that spot. I remember how hard they fight. Unfortunately, the one that I brought in over there was hooked at the wrong end...
Fishn sure is neat
Insane dude!
I have to agree with the others that I am a little envious of that neat catch...Don’t have those here in Florida but that species is on my bucket list. Great Job!
