Something tells me it was possbily dumped in there from someones minnow bucket because I caught it at one of the boat ramps. I'm stumped..</span></span></p>

My guess would be northern redbelly dace. Some type of dace for sure, anyways.
Northern redbellies have two dark lateral bands. Finescales have one. Every Northern Redbelly I've seen (and I've handled a lot of them) has had a very dark lateral stripe below the lateral line and a thin dark stripe above it.
The above fish are Northern Redbelly Dace. Note the two dark lateral bands.
It looks like your fish only has the one above the lateral line, so I'd go with Finescale Dace.
Yup, its a finescale. I still need to catch one of them for my lifelist someday.
