Lurker Seeks Assistance

This fish is from Niagra falls, Canada.

I believe the first one is a

I believe the first one is a bartail goby (Coryphopterus thrix), Im not sure of the others though.

The Niagra minnow

could be either emerald shiner or rosyface shiner.  Both occur in the lower Niagra.  They are quite similar and easily confused.  Would need a close up shot of the chin showing the melanophores to identify from pics alone.

The 2nd fish looks like it

The 2nd fish looks like it might be a juvenile Seargent Major.  The Seargent Major on my lifelist came from the Bahamas.

I think the Niagra fish is an Emerald Shiner, Notropis atherinoides.  The snout is to short to be a Rosyface Shiner, Notropis rubellus. I agree with Cast and Blast that the second fish is a juvenile Seargent Major. I don't know what the goby is but I don't think it is Coryphopterus thrix.

I have read that

I have read that coryphopterus thrix is the only goby in the bahamas area that has speckles on the eyelids, but I may be mistaken.

I don't know about the specked eyelid character, but I'm pretty sure that Coryphopterus thrix does not get as big as the fish in the photo.
