<p>I was out on a lake today and found the following critter on the bottom. The rare and elusive Floridian Moose gave me his best guess over some info I gave him without some pictures and he is thinking either Iowa or Johnny darter. Thanks for the help ahead of time teaching a micro padawan learner.</p>

Given Moose's two suggestions and my limited skill in darter ID'ing, I'd say it looks more like an Iowa than a Johnny.

Nailed it reekfish, definitley an Iowa. God damn Josh is a lucky man.....
I'm going to say Iowa at this point as well. Reekfish I didn't know about the "X" and "W" pattern with johnnys so I'll need to keep that in mind. Moose thanks for the premptive strike on the ID and the confirmation.
