Greenwood's Fox Snake
<p>At the very end of the Roundup this year, Rich and Greenwood found a huge fox snake! Some of the photos turned out pretty great, so I thought I would share them with you here...&nbsp;<img alt="" src="http://roughfish.com/sites/default/files/DSCF2410.JPG" style="width: 1024px; height: 768px;" /><img alt="" src="http://roughfish.com/sites/default/files/DSCF2423.JPG" style="width: 1024px; height: 768px;" /><img alt="" src="http://roughfish.com/sites/default/files/DSCF2425.JPG" style="width: 1024px; height: 469px;" /><img alt="" src="http://roughfish.com/sites/default/files/DSCF2426.JPG" style="width: 1024px; height: 768px;" /><img alt="" src="http://roughfish.com/sites/default/files/DSCF2428.JPG" style="width: 1024px; height: 768px;" /></p>

That could very well be the s

That could very well be the same snake that scared the smack out of Naomi (my wife) at LAST year's round up!  Last year, it was hiding by the tree in a bunch of brush, sticks, and debris, close to where I was fishing during the derby.  She screamed so loud that the snake fled, only to be seen by a fortunate few.

Pretty pleased with the quali

Pretty pleased with the quality of photos the camera I've got is capable of, I didn't spend an arm and a leg on it, and I've honestly never been all that great at taking photos before getting my hands on it - it does a lot of the work for me and all I have to do is line up what I think might be a good shot and it does all the rest for me. Fingers crossed that the watertight seal holds up in June so I can get a couple new underwater photos of contest fish.

The snake went pretty crazy at first, bit Greenwood several times before chilling out. I think it finally realized we weren't trying to eat it, and then it relaxed while we took photos. It was cool watching it disappear into the undergrowth like magic when he let it go, they sure are good at vanishing when they need to in a hurry. Awesome scales on the beastie...

Do not meddle in the affairs of BAGMAN, for thou art crunchy and good with Old Bay seasoning...
