Common Shiner or Striped Shiner???
What would be the best way to tell them apart, I'm starting to think this is a Striped Shiner. The Ontario record for the Common Shiner is 18cm and this one is 16cm, I highly doubt I got that close. Picture is in the comments

The best way I have found is

The best way I have found is the scales on the topmost of the fish right behind the head on the common are smaller and look more randomly squashed together. I would be very confident calling this a striped shiner.
