8 piece cane pole

Seen an 8 piece cane pole in a Japanese Bitterling Fishing blog and couldn't find a website which sold them so when I had access to some cane growing in a friends yard I decided to make my own.

Should work great for traveling cause the pole wont take up much room. Plus when sight fishing close to shore I can choose the length of my rod by either using just the tip piece or the first 3 sections or all eight. The entire rod is made of cane even the connecting pegs inside the cane is cane.

This is only my first rod and was a learning experince as I had no instructions to follow but only a pic of the rod in someones blog so I know the rods to follow should look better and be of better quality.

Eric, the photos of the one

Eric, the photos of the one yen fish and cane pole are over at nt-fishing, that fish is tiny! well done on the pole too, thats something that I need to do one day, I'd quite like to make a telescopic bamboo one.

It doesn't matter what you're fishing for, just as long as you're out there doing it.

Thanks for the comment and
Thanks for the comment and help getting the pic up. TheHugbot, thanks also cause after you explained it I remember doing that before to get a pic up. I made a few more poles just incase that one broke and even made one about 3' to 4' that breaks down to about 5" sections to where I can fit it in my pocket. I want to make one with each piece the same length. The ones I made I couldn't make the same length cause I kept running into divides (the things that make the ridges in the cane).
