Combine all the best paid holidays throughout the year with birthdays and all the solstice events plus national bbq day none of it compares to ROUNDUP! Can't wait to see all ya'll! Really really really really looking forward to it!
This is great news! I assume then that Eagle Cliff confirmed that they'll be open for us? Any rules about tent proximity or anything else COVID related?
Hey Jason, yes we have confirmed with Eagle Cliff our usual awesome camping area alongside the river. They didn't mention anything about current COVID-related rules, and I don't see anything on their website. We'll need to be aware and careful for ourselves, and err on the side of caution.
8th and 9th! That is great. I'll be headed to the BWCA the weekend of the "opener" and so I was resigned to missing again. Bonus: spouse is going out of town that weekend... if I can find some vaccinated grandparents I'll be a free man all weekend.
Hey guys, we have an awesome t shirt designed this year by Frogchaser! Please let us know here what size you'd like - need to get the order in very soon for the printer to turn them around in time for the event so ORDERS MUST BE IN BY MIDNIGHT 4/23!
I have to go to Duluth that weekend and pick-up my Son from college. :( I'm planning on going early and hitting the St. Croix, so I'll be thinking about all of you and the Round Up. One of these years I'll make it.

Andy and Corey - Thanks for organizing the Roundup! Even though we didn't have a potluck feast or prize table it was still great to see the redhorse spawning run and meet other roughfish anglers. And thanks for all your work in keeping this great forum/website going!
I won't say that 2021 was one for the record books. But it was great to fish with the good folks from Roughfish.com again. And, we even caught a few fish.
It is so nice to fish with like minded people and not have to explain both WHAT you are fishing for and then explain WHY. Not being interupted by those sorts of questions really highlights how much fishing time I spend answering them.
Thanks to Corey and Andy for making this website and the roundup happen.
I can say I had a great time! P.B.C, was good to hang with. Fishing was fun. All I got during the derby was three horses. Iffin I'dda gotten one of them "troot" Doc was catching. I'dda had 4.
This was the first roundup I've been able to make it to, and I'm so sad that we don't have more group events. You guys were an absolute blast, I can't wait to see everyone again!
It was great getting to meet you, Kytten! I'd like to have more get-togethers, too. You are hereby authorized to organize one for the summer if you want to. Drew and I just have our hands full and it's tough to put together a meetup more than once or twice a year. I know a lot of people would get down to Eau Claire or something for a day; PM me if you have any ideas.
Can't wait to get back in the swing of things! Let's get this spring rolling!

Awesome news!
We let those fish slide last year. That means we have to go twice as hard in '21.

Will there be tshirts and kayak rentals for the float trip?
We are finalizing shirt design right now. They have lots of canoes and kayaks for rent at the Campground, and you can usually get one.

We still having a feast?Sucker balls and sides? And what about prize table? There is gonna be a traveling horse exchange. Wink wink...
No, no centrally organized potluck feast or prize table.
I assume no pot luck means no sucker balls?
Better to have a Roundup with no sucker balls, than no Roundup at all.
