That kid totally used the force to snatch that eagle... watch the slo-mo where the kid "drops" there is brief but relatively obivous moment where the kid "hovers" before falling. Clearly the kid is the one in control, obivously he needs more training before he can get the eagle to carry him around so he can control the world!!!
UPDATE: A Montreal animation school has fessed up that the "Golden Eagle Snatches Kid" on YouTube is a fake, created by three students in its three-year animation and digital design degree program.
"Both the eagle and the kid were created in 3D animation and integrated in to the film afterwards," the school, Centre NAD, said in a statement Wednesday.
As seen below, cyber sleuths and imaging experts had quickly poked holes in the viral video, spotting obvious flaws in shadows and composition.
Students at the Centre NAD have cooked up digital hoaxes in the past as part of their coursework, including this video of a penguin escaping from the Montreal Biodôme.
Right. Firstly, golden eagles don't have the white patches on their wings as depicted in the video short. Secondly, golden eagles can only carry about five pounds of prey. The toddler in the film is likely closer to 20 pounds. Third, that eagle is too big to be a golden eagle.
Most of my friends get all gooey-gaga about kids, esp. kid safety. Any notion of risk is unacceptable to these folks. As recent events show, it is impossible to avoid danger, but we can equip kids to deal with it as effectively as possible. Fishing, camping, and hunting are some of the activites that can equip kids with confidence, knowledge, and survival skills to deal with the uncertainties life can throw at us.
Just my long-winded way of saying that it's a breath of fresh air to read comments that have a sense of humor about kid safety. Hurray for phony kid-snatching eagles!
That's fantastic.
That should happen like a couple times a week.
Wish Argentavis was still around.
Keep those soft, dulled down, oblivious humanoids on their fkin toes.
Fishn sure is neat

I think it's fake, I stand by that!

More eagles less kids. I get it.
