Warmouth Lepomis gulosus

The Warmouth is a stout, pugnacious, drab-colored sunfish with a large mouth. It is commonly found amongst weeds, brush, and other submerged cover. It can be found across the central US, from extreme southern Minnesota into the heart of the deep south. Warmouth are willing biters and are easy to entice on baits and lures commonly used to target other panfish.
