Originally added to my list as a smallmouth buffalo, then I switched it to black buffalo (based on info from an experienced biologist who considers it to be "mostly" black buffalo, as an intergrade that has a smallmouth in its recent ancestry). Now I'm moving it back to smallmouth since it's not pure black. I'll catch a pure black as soon as I can, and a pure smallmouth, and then I'll relegate this one to the hybrids section.
