Guys. I need some help with some local white suckers. I can't seem to get them on anything. They are sitting stationary in clear water in a local creek, but are occasionally hopping between spots as if they are feeding.
I've drifted nightcrawlers, redworms, maggots, bread, mulberries, crickets, corn, peas, but have gotten no response AT ALL. I have caught multiple baby shortheads and golden redhorse with this these baits but these white suckers (some appear to be over 20") and some hogsuckers mixed do not cooperate. I've tried chumming, but that draws in every baby channel cat and sunfish within a mile. Does anybody have any suggestions? I was thinking about breaking out my 4wt and trying to drift nymphs by them next.
