Hey nice fish duder! The fish is actually a Greater Redhorse, the two can be tricky to tell apart. Still an awesome catch, regardless. They aren't a terribly common fish. Did you eat it?
yeah redhorse ID is tough - takes lots of practice. Nice fish though! Fun having fishing right in your backyard. When I was about your age I could walk to the St Croix river - which was fun, caught bass and mooneye mostly/
