Redfin Pickerel!

This isn't a particularly big catch, but one very special to me! After years of searching for this species, and many close misses.. I finally landed my lifer Redfin Pickerel during a trip down to Connecticut! This is the fish that initially got me into lifelisting two years ago, and it felt really good to finally be able to hold one :) Caught on a 1.5" jig in a small stream in central CT with the close guidance of a friend I made online. The fish even missed the lure about 5 times before I finally hooked up, and I was watching it the whole time!
