Caught In Southern New Hampshire. Found in moving waters behind a small damn, outside of a pond and in the riffles of small creek. If you cannot get the exact ID a few best guesses would be great as I can always go back to catch more. Thanks!

My best guess would be common shiner. I took a look at the list of freshwater species in NH and there's not too much cyprinids. A lot got ruled out, but I'm still not too sure.

Hey branden, thanks for helping! I caught some more today and they did not have the stripes on the back like a common shiner would. Currently I'm thinking Eastern Silvery Minnow, but am still too unsure to make an offical entry.

Common shiners have a faint stripe, very visible underwater, but not so on land due to the reflective nature of their scales.

Also, you spelled my name wrong. :)

The ID is tricky because it appears most of its scales were lost. That appears to be the only reason that faint stripe is visible... scales that usually cover that area are visibly missing. It may indeed be a common shiner.

Chain Pickerel: All the bad assery of a Northern Pike wrapped up in a smaller, prettier package.

I checked out all the NH cyprinids, and yep, that's a common shiner.
