Gobio Oh Gobio!

They're so neat.

That's another species that I've caught and don't have a photo of!

And I'll prolly never catch them again. Sooooooo bummed.

When I first caught them (and knew hardly nothing), I remember thinking they might be tiny baby Barbel.

Fishn sure is neat

I've been catcing them for years but I never took any photos, I caught mine with maggot fished on the botton and a tiny float for bite indication.

thats exactly what I thought

thats exactly what I thought when I saw pictures of silver and steamline chubs, the only big difference is that the gudgeon has 2 barbels (one at each corner of the mouth) that aren't very visible in this picture.

I caught some streamlines in
I caught some streamlines in my net for bait last year and thought at first glance that they were possibly gudgeon thanks to my time spent posting on the British board I told you about. I figured out pretty quickly that they were a native but it's striking how similar they are!

here are two more gudgeon I caught, the markings aren't as strong on these so they look more like silver chubs.
