My biggest Pikeminnow yet!

Wednesday, May 21, 2014
Pikeminnow, Northern
Size:
4 lbs, 20 inches

After completing all my homework and studies early, I decided on Wednesday, May 20, that I would go fishing. About an hour later, I was up at a mouth of a creek where I had wonderful sucker experiences in the past. I casted out my blue, green-spotted Blue Fox spinner a little ways from the mouth. Within 15 feet from shore, I hooked a fish. The active fight it gave made me assume it was a trout. My excitement was heightened to new levels when the beast came up to the surface. I was jumping with joy. What a great way to spend a Wednesday evening!

Nice!
I've been fascinated by Pikeminnows ever since I first read about the Colorado Pikeminnow when I was in AZ over ten years ago. Really cool fish. Sure would like to catch some someday...

Fishn sure is neat

The state record for Montana (where I live) is about 8 lbs. Hopefully, I can match that one day!
