Late Season Muskies

I really look forward to evening bow stand sits, grab the shotgun, and, Oh yeah, fall muskies.  It all starts with a 2-day trip in late October.  My big bobber vanishes and a $9 sucker down the drain.  Can't wait to see what wanted to choke itself on my bait.

A 43 incher.  Then after another drift through, looks like another $9 is quickly down the drain.

Another 43", but different fish by the looks of the tail on one of them.

What's that swimming in the weeds?  Time to take a break from fishing for a moment.  Good thing I brought the Benelli along.

Ok, lets get back to fishing.  My buddy finished the day out with the big one.

Day 2, tried another stretch of river and only caught one all day of fishing, a 38"

A week later I took my son with me up there and connected with another 40 something.

Then what was probably the highlight of my trip was helping my son get his his first deer with a bow the next day.

Can't wait until next year to do it all again.
