I'm going to Cozumel for our 20th wedding anniversary in April. Fishing will not be the focus. I'm aware of bonefishing in the northern part of the island and the usual charters, but there is very little about shore fishing on the island.
I know the southern part of the island (where we're staying) looks off limits to fishing. The protected area does not include the north. I'll have a rental car so could get out for short excursions. Anyone know of any place I could cast a line for reef/inshore species? Or maybe a pond or creek with something unusual?
I know a long shot but I figured if anyone knew it would be someone here. Thanks.
