This is an amazing looking fish. Can I ask what rig and bait you used to catch this?

and some algae, I don't know if you have ever been to the Tampa Bypass Canal but it crazy loaded with armored catfish.  I think they are overpopulated as they were eating right on the bank with their backs out of the water.

I drive past it regurlarly - thanks for the info - I am definately going to stop by and check it out. I would love to see one of these in person.

I found a small pond that had quite a few plecos (sailfin catifsh) and I was trying worms... they ignored the worms every time.  Perhaps I need to warp a nice chunk of algea around my hook?
