First ever channel cat and she was a tank, I estimated either 25 to 27 pounds, I called her blind betty because she was almost completely blind. When she bit I was walking back to the car because it was cold and windy then all I could hear was the baitrunner screaming, so I quickly ran over and started to fight her and eventually get her in. I couldn't have done it without by buddy UpperMi roughangler netting it and the lucky bag of Uncle Rays potato chips.

Big kitty
25 pounds is impossibly heavy for a 33 incher ( no offense but I'd put it at most 18). In any case it's indeed a very nice channel cat, especially for your first one
2020 goals:
Greater Redhorse (x), Lake Trout (), Lake Whitefish (x), Chinook Salmon (x), Coho Salmon (x)

Catfish Length/Weight
Google "Channel catfish Length/Weight" and you'll find all kinds of conversion formulae. If you feel this was a very fat fish, go ahead and add a pound or two. Any way you slice it, this is a great fish.

Wow, what a great first Channel! At 33" it tops my PB after over 4 years of roughfishing. I agree with Fishhead - 25 is really high, but that doesn't detract from the fact it is a true beast of a fish and you should be proud and elated about it.
