Black banded darter.......

Black banded darter....... fished to but not caught (at least when I left).

I've never heard of a "Black-Banded Darter".  What is this fish you speak of?

ask doc. I sight fished for the little f****rs to no avail! maybe just banded, but I think black banded.

The Lamprey we caught were

The Lamprey we caught were Chestnut Lamprey. 
Fishing Dude helped with the ID on them looking at the bicuspid circumoral teeth.

I grabbed 5 of them and saw dozens more, they must have been spawning.

I also know if you wade out 50 feet and see one no matter how hard you try to remember what rock it was sitting on you will NEVER find it again after going back to get bait.
