Early November Muskies

If there was a month that I could take off, it would be November.  Great Fishing and then on top of that you have amazing hunting opportunities.  What should I do?  And so little time!  Days are getting shorter.  Temperatures are changing.  And then you have one of those mild days of November that's gray and overcast and now the recipe is perfect for muskies.  I took a couple of friends with me and they caught their fall trophy to admire.  Yes, that's right, 4 Muskies in ONE day!

Fish #1  44"

Fish #2 45"

Fish #3  43"

Fish #4  37"

Nice day man! Can't believe how stocky the littlest one is. Eating good in the neighborhood.

Yeah, and it's a competitive neighborhood.

Nice muskies C&B! I find it weird that late fall seems like prime time for muskies (at least that's what I've been led to believe. Up north, once the water gets close to freezing, the pike get lock jaw.

Well, I do find artificial lures to be less effective but a lively sucker minnow is deadly.

They just look so cool, and natural.  Man, they must live pretty high on the hog with all of the rich forage there too.  That 3rd fish looks like it has a pretty serious underbite :)

Thanks for sharing, C&B!
