most likely, wild goldfish

most likely, wild goldfish

if there were any stunted barbels or dorsal spine, then goldXcarp hybrid

if there are goldfish cousins in your area (Crucian & Prussian carp -- very rare in N. America), then ID gets REALLY difficult

P.E.T.A. sucks!!!  Plants are living things, too -- they're just easier to catch!

Probably hatched this year.

Probably hatched this year. Common carp are one of the fastest growing fish during their first couple of years.
