Alaska saving grace

Char, Arctic

My trip to Alaska wasn’t timed well to say the least..  most salmon rivers in the area were closed while we were there and then the next week when we headed to the interior they opened up.   Didn’t have great luck their either  had one small rainbow and a dinky little pike, and then the morning of the day we left I stuck this bulldawg of a char on a boat borrowed from a guy who we met the night before!

That's a huge arctic char, congratulations on an awesome catch.  That had to be an incredible fight!  I would love to hear more about your trip to Alaska, even if things didn't go as planned (they rarely do up there).  I'll PM you.

What an awesome fish! I love the colored-up male Char as much as anyone, but there’s just something about that silvery-blue look they have in larger bodies of water that I love. Great work!
