Hey Tom, do you have any other pics of the fish? It's really hard to tell from this pic, but I think it might be a Black buffalo, or at least a hybrid. Maybe a picture of it lying on the ground?
Still too hard to say. Maybe I'm just seeing things. If you catch another sleek-looking Buff (or any fish you want ID'd), you should definitely take a close-up of it lying on the ground lengthways so we can get ratios and stuff. It's just too hard to ID it based on the two pics you have. Still a super cool fish no matter what it is! Buffalo are always welcome. And that spot looks nice and peaceful- I hope you had a good session there!
