Had the pleasure of landing my PB brook trout on a trip up north just south of the BWCA. Never seen one with such predigeous girth! 14 inches long with an 11.5 inch girth. The lake this fish came from is loaded with finescale and redbelly dace. This fish had a 24 hour high protein dace buffet cattering it it's every whim. Caught on a 3 way rigged night cralwer floated off the bottom usuing the classic Lindy Magic Worm Blower to inflate the worm.

That's a really weird length to girth ratio for a brookie. Awesome fish.

Thanks guys!
I loved every second of fighting that fish, coolest part - My buddy's dad is our rod spotter because he has since lost the use of half of his body after a stroke and cant manage a long rod anymore but he sees more with his one eye than some of us do with two so he is the designtaed rod watcher when people have to pee or step away from the rods for a minute. He saw my rod get hammered before I did when I was adjusting my wader straps and scared me half to death when he screamed at me to set the hook. Old man Donny comes in clutch again!
Ya just Can't catch um from the couch.
