At Geneva, I've mainly been fishing at the spillway/dam. So far, I've caught a total of 1 bowfin and 1 yellow perch there. The perch bite like crazy in low water right against the dam but it's hard to hook them for some reason. Perch aren't what I'm after anyway though, can barely tell they're on the line haha. I also tried fishing at the"boat launch" (if you can even call it one, basically just a cement slab in the water with weeds growing in it lol) but got skunked completely both times. At the spillway I've been fishing with a bottom rig with a night crawler on one rod and with the other either casting jerkbaits, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, bucktails, etc or using a bottom rig with a golden shiner.
At the outflow try cut bait. I prefer chub or sucker. Bottom rig or drift. In te Marsh undter a float, bait middle or bottom of the water column. If you're as unprepared as I often as i am, try catching pumpkinseed or perch on sîe
I'll have to try cut bait next time, thanks! No comes the matter of catching bait there to cut, haha. I can always get some chubs from French creek, though.
Ya, just make sure you're not choppin up hornyheads if you're gettin em from French Ck! Half the time, like I said, I'll just catch pumpkinseed or crappie on the spot n chop em. But I would recommend chub or sucker

I've never gotten skunked at Geneva? 2 bowfin and a largemouth = skunked there. Where in the marsh have you fished, and what have you been trying?
