Made a trip to the Green Bay, WI area on Saturday with Avidfly and TonyS. Fishing a spoon/slider fly rig I managed to catch five lake whitefish. Others were caught by Tony and Avid, and we enjoyed a great day on the ice while learning a few tidbits about this awesome fish. This was the most successful whitefishing I had ever experienced. Four of my fish were caught on a small swedish pimple fished right on the bottom, and one took a small orange scud fly.

Bummer that you couldn't go. This last weather event screwed a lot of stuff up, including my plans to be at the International Eelpout Festival right now. The roads were just plain undrivable today!
