Enter! Most of us have no hope of winning but find reasons that it's worthwhile anyway. I compete against myself and don't always win even that bout. Last year I kicked my own ass. Best month of fishing in my life. Now this year I'm nervous that I won't be able to triumph over myself again, but I'm going to try.

2020: 10 days fishing 11 species 0 lifers. 2019: 34/45/13 2018: 39/40/5
It aint all about winning with this thing. Over 50 people fish this contest every year now. So odds of winning are pretty slim. Gunnar is right. Its really about pushing yourself to new levels as a fisherman. Setting the bar for yourself. Achieving goals you thought were not possible. The contest is a blast and look forward to it every year.
I ain't never even really been close to winning. Doesn't matter. It is a ton of fun, and each year I'd say I learn more about fish/fishing during the June contest than I do most the rest of the year.
I'm really looking forward to the contest this year. Last year I just couldn't do it, considering I broke my tailbone in late May. I'm about 75-80% recovered now, so I'm actually able to get out there now. I know I have zero chance of winning, but I'm looking forward to just getting to the water and seeing what I'm capable of.

I'm actually tempted to enter this year and not least of all because of that awesome button. No chance of winning, but hey...
